Conversations with God!
Use prayer as a conversation, not a wishlist!
I’ve talked about it before on this blog, but it is so important to remember that prayer is a conversation with God, not a wishlist! Prayer is so powerful. How awesome is it that we have the ability to speak with our Creator!!! Take advantage of prayer and use it to speak to your Heavenly Father.
“Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.” Mark 11:24
Whatever mountain stands before you can be removed by God. There is power in the words we say! Turn those words into prayer and conversation with God. When you pray, have faith that it is done. We receive it and then we can live it out.
Take God at His Word! When faith is in place, God is pleased. Your feelings touch God but only your faith moves God. “Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.” Hebrews 11:1; “When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures.” James 4:3
If we don’t receive what we pray for, it is because we are praying faithless prayers. What is a prayer of faith?
it is praying the revealed Word of God!
Find a scripture and stand on it! “Sovereign Lord, you are God! Your covenant is trustworthy, and you have promised these good things to your servant.” 2 Samuel 7:28
God is trustworthy, and we can take Him at His Word. Find a promise in God’s Word.
it is praying in alignment with the will of God!
If it is not in God’s will, it will not be done. “This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.” 1 John 5:14-15
it is a Kingdom centered prayer!
Think of the Lord’s Prayer! It is praying a prayer that is bigger than you and your personal needs.
it is a persistent prayer!
Don’t give up on your prayers. God will answer them in His timing.
Prayer is so, so important in your walk with Christ! Remember that prayer does not have to be scheduled—you can pray with God at any time in the day, and He will ALWAYS hear you! This message really spoke to me, and as I’m writing this post right now, I’m being reminded of things that I desperately needed to hear! I pray that this message speaks to you this week, and I’ll see you next Monday!
“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” John 16:33
Prison walls start shaking at the sound of praising. Nothing stays the same when we pray.
